Pamela Wess is an award winning filmmaker, clown, and writer in New York City.
Her short film, On Women Who Validate Themselves Through Sex, has screened at several festivals and has won the audience award at the Iron Mule Short Comedy Series for 2014. Her screenplay Dummy has won first place at the Garden State Film Festivals screenplay competition 2017.
Pamela Wess, as her alter-ego Madame Bouge, has performed live in venues across the city including Dixon Place, Under St. Marks, UCB Theater East, and Creek and the Cave. Currently, she co-hosts the "Original NYC Talent Show," a streaming open stage for variety performers and experimental artists.
Pamela is a graduate of Bard College with a degree in Film and the Electronic Arts. She has studied film with Steven Shainberg, Peter Hutton, John Pruitt, Peggy Ahwesh, and Jacqueline Goss. Pamela has studied Clown and Physical Theater with Avner Eisenberg, Giovanni Fusetti, Virginia Scott, Jean Taylor, and Shelley Wyant.
